Lead Technician (2nd Shift)

Job Summary

Design, develop, and document modifications of computer programs for machine operating systems and testing equipment. Monitor equipment functioning to ensure system conformance with specifications, maintain logs of machinery faults and repairs, and track computer hardware inventory levels. Test and verify hardware against specifications, isolate defects, and specify power supply requirements. Assemble and modify existing equipment to meet special needs while informing supervision of mechanical or electrical failures. Work with operators and engineering designers to support business development and provide detailed reporting and analytics for projects. Attend training to update skills in computer technology and complete other special projects as requested by management.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalency
  • Must meet the physical requirements including, but not limited to lifting, walking, standing, sitting, climbing stairs
  • Lead Technician I: Minimum 1 years of experience from a similar position
  • Lead Technician II: Minimum 3 years of experience from a similar position
  • Must be able to lift 55-pound boxes
  • Must be able to work in an environment with dust exposure and extreme temperature fluctuations
  • Must be able to wear required ESD clothing and accessories
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to apply common sense with the understanding to carry out instructions
  • Understanding of FC/SCSI/SAS/SATA interfaces and storage arrays
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to frequently lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds
  • Must be able to comply with OSHA standards

  • Communication—Exhibits good listening and comprehension, Selects and uses appropriate communication methods both verbal and written, keeps others adequately informed
