Job Summary
Lead Technical Recruiter at STEM DTS drives recruiting strategy across IT, Engineering, Scientific, Life Sciences, Manufacturing, and related STEM disciplines, while managing a team of sourcing specialists. Partners with business development and account teams to understand client needs, develop recruiting strategies, guide sourcing activity, and deliver high-quality candidates. The role is hands-on and leadership-oriented, involving recruiting, screening, engaging, and closing candidates, while shaping processes, improving team performance, and creating a candidate-first experience that reflects the STEM DTS brand.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience recruiting technical candidates (IT, Engineering, Scientific, Life Sciences, Manufacturing, or related STEM disciplines)
- Experience recruiting for staffing, consulting, contract, contract-to-hire, or direct placement roles
- Demonstrated ability to source passive candidates using LinkedIn, job boards, Boolean search, referrals, databases, professional networks, and creative outreach
- Experience managing, mentoring, or leading sourcers, junior recruiters, or recruiting support teams
- Strong understanding of technical roles, terminology, candidate evaluation, and market dynamics
- Ability to manage multiple requisitions, priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders
- Strong candidate screening, interview, closing, and offer-management skills
- Excellent communication skills and a high level of urgency
- Team-first attitude with the confidence to lead, coach, and raise the bar
- Experience recruiting across IT, Engineering, Scientific, Life Sciences, Manufacturing, or regulated industries is strongly preferred
