Job Summary
Lead Shader/Material Artist with deep expertise in Unreal Engine 5. Define and drive the visual and technical quality bar for shaders and materials, establish optimized pipelines, lead R&D into UE5 rendering features (Lumen, Nanite, virtual texturing), and collaborate with Art Directors to align materials with the game’s art direction. Build and maintain a modular, performant library of shaders and materials for characters, environments, weapons, FX, and cinematics; optimize for memory, draw calls, and real-time performance across platforms. Manage, mentor, and inspire a team of shader/material artists and external partners to deliver world-class visuals while maintaining production goals and standards.
