Job Summary
Lead Preschool Room Teacher responsible for classroom leadership, curriculum development, staff mentoring, and family engagement in an Early Learning setting for infants to preschool-age children. Focus on creating a safe, engaging environment, implementing age-appropriate lesson plans, evaluating curriculum, coaching staff, ensuring licensing compliance, and maintaining family partnerships. Requires leadership, communication, and organizational skills, CPR/First Aid certification, and SD licensing eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- Child Development Associate credential required
- CPR/First Aid certification required or ability to obtain within required timeframe
- Must meet South Dakota childcare licensing requirements
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Passion for early childhood education
- Previous childcare or preschool teaching experience preferred
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate classroom practices
- Ability to maintain a safe, active, and engaging classroom environment
- Ability to work collaboratively with children, families, and team members
