Job Summary
Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum promoting literacy, social skills, and physical development while creating a nurturing classroom environment. Manage student behavior effectively, assess individual progress, and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse needs. Communicate regularly with parents regarding child development and foster a love for learning through creative play and structured lessons. Requires a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, 1–2 years of licensed childcare experience, and CPR/First Aid certification. Schedule is Monday-Friday with pay ranging from $17.00 to $21.00 per hour based on education and experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Associate's, TCD, TCC, or CDA in Early Childhood Education or Child Development
- Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience in a licensed childcare setting
- CPR/First Aid certified (or willingness to obtain)
- Must meet all state licensing requirements, including background checks
- Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early education
- Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and staff effectively
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and engage physically with children throughout the day
