Job Summary
Lead fun, interactive chess classes for 10–15 energetic elementary students, guiding activities, maintaining engagement, and redirecting behavior as needed. Assist the local Area Manager in coaching instructors, conducting performance evaluations, and ensuring quality control across all programs. Troubleshoot program challenges, complete daily evaluation reports, and communicate with supervisors throughout the season. Speak regularly with school administration and parents to gather feedback and support customer service efforts. Maintain professional communication standards and arrive prepared for setup and dismissal. Available for at least four days per week during peak after-school hours, with preference for five days.
Required Qualifications
- reliable transportation
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working with groups of children (teaching, tutoring, coaching, camp counseling, or similar)
- Must be available during the after school hours at least 4 days per week
- Strong grasp of chess fundamentals
- Candidates must be currently residing in the area or be willing to relocate at their own expense
