Job Summary
Prepare and maintain a safe, clean, and organized learning environment while planning daily programs that meet children's emotional, physical, intellectual, and social needs. Collaborate with Teacher Assistants to implement classroom goals, communicate on child development, and manage behavior using positive techniques. Assist with personal care needs, arrange field trips, maintain classroom records, and foster communication with parents via daily reports and conferences. Adhere to New York State Office of Children and Family Services regulations and all center policies. Maintain mandatory clearances and attend staff meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Early Childhood, Child Development, or related field
- Child Development Associate credential or other OCFS-recognized credential specific to preschool developmental period
- One year of experience related to caring for children
- Nine college credits in Early Childhood, Child Development, or related field
- Plan of study leading to (1) Child Development Associate credential or (2) Associate's Degree in Early Childhood, Child Development, or related field
- Two years of experience related to caring for children
