Job Summary
Plan, prepare, and collaborate to orchestrate a stimulating, welcoming space where Infants, Toddlers, and Preschool children can play, learn, and grow. Masterfully implement the proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum® by adapting your approach to individual developmental needs. Prioritize a safe, nurturing environment while ensuring children's daily needs are met, including diapering, dressing, grooming, and feeding. Regularly update parents on progress and milestones through mobile apps and in-person discussions. Collaborate with center staff and leadership to drive retention, enrollment, and engagement goals. Cultivate warm relationships with families and colleagues to foster an environment where learning and play coexist. Work outdoors in temperatures ranging from 20°F to 95°F while maintaining full physical alertness and composure.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- ECE coursework
- Extended experience in a childcare setting
- History of classroom leadership roles
- Deep-rooted passion for early childhood education
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- State-specific guidelines for the role
- State and federal requirements including immunizations
- Employment physicals
- Required health and safety training
- Proven judgment to identify and address potential risks in a childcare setting
- Ability to supervise by sight and sound
- Full range of motion to stand and walk for extended periods without discomfort
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 40 pounds safely
- Ability to reach, stretch, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to use a stool or ladder to access high places as needed
- Ability to work outdoors during portions of the day in temperatures ranging from 20°F (with wind chill) to 95°F
- Ability to maintain mental and physical alertness and a consistent energy level to meet essential job functions
