Job Summary
Plan and orchestrate a stimulating classroom environment for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers while implementing the proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum. Mentor other educators and collaborate with center staff to drive retention and enrollment goals. Safeguard children by prioritizing safety, addressing potential risks, and meeting daily needs including feeding and grooming. Maintain warm relationships with families by regularly updating parents on progress and milestones. Work outdoors in temperatures ranging from 20°F to 95°F, standing for extended periods and lifting up to 40 pounds. Requires state-specific educational guidelines, ECE coursework, and experience in classroom leadership roles.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- ECE coursework
- Extended experience in a childcare setting
- History of classroom leadership roles
- Deep-rooted passion for early childhood education
- Must meet state-specific guidelines for the role
- At least 18 years of age
- State and federal requirements including immunizations
- Employment physicals
- Required health and safety training
- Proven judgment to identify and address potential risks in a childcare setting
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods without discomfort
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 40 pounds safely
- Ability to reach, stretch, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to use a stool or ladder to access high places as needed
- Ability to supervise by sight and sound
- Ability to work outdoors during portions of the day in temperatures ranging from 20°F (with wind chill) to 95°F
- Ability to maintain mental and physical alertness and a consistent energy level to meet essential job functions
