Job Summary
Plan, prepare, and orchestrate a stimulating classroom environment where infants, toddlers, and preschoolers can play, learn, and grow. Masterfully implement the proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum®, adapting instruction to individual developmental needs while prioritizing a safe, nurturing space. Collaborate with center staff to drive retention and enrollment goals, regularly updating parents on child progress through mobile apps and in-person discussions. Cultivate warm relationships with families and colleagues, ensuring children's daily needs are met through active supervision and developmentally appropriate activities. Work outdoors in temperatures ranging from 20°F to 95°F, maintaining full physical alertness and composure.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- ECE coursework
- Extended experience in a childcare setting
- History of classroom leadership roles
- Deep-rooted passion for early childhood education
- Must meet state-specific guidelines for the role
- At least 18 years of age
- State and federal requirements including immunizations
- Employment physicals
- Required health and safety training
- Proven judgment to identify and address potential risks in a childcare setting
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods without discomfort
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 40 pounds safely
- Ability to reach, stretch, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to use a stool or ladder to access high places as needed
- Ability to supervise by sight and sound
- Ability to work outdoors during portions of the day in temperatures ranging from 20°F (with wind chill) to 95°F
- Ability to maintain mental and physical alertness and a consistent energy level to meet essential job functions
