Job Summary
Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment for toddlers ages 1–2 while implementing The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum® through hands-on learning. Develop weekly lesson plans supporting developmental milestones and lead, coach, and mentor Assistant Teachers. Perform daily health checks, diapering, toileting, and feeding while maintaining proper teacher-to-child ratios, and observe children's progress to document development. Ensure compliance with licensing, health, and safety regulations, and maintain accurate reports and parent communication via the school app. Build strong relationships with families and team members, participate in staff meetings and training, and model positive behavior. Full-time Monday–Friday 8:00–5:00, approximately 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 year of professional childcare or teaching experience
- Must meet all state licensing requirements for Lead Teachers
- Lift and carry up to 40 pounds
- Frequently bend, kneel, squat, and sit on the floor
- Stand and move throughout the day
- Participate in indoor and outdoor activities in varying weather conditions
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Lead teaching experience
- Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Passion for early childhood education
