Job Summary
Orchestrate a stimulating, welcoming classroom space for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers by planning lessons, implementing the proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum®, and ensuring daily safety. Prioritize child development needs through direct caregiving, including feeding, dressing, and grooming, while modeling conflict-resolution skills. Collaborate with center staff to drive retention and enrollment goals, and maintain warm relationships with families by regularly updating parents on progress. Lead and mentor other educators to guide their professional journey. Work in temperatures ranging from 20°F to 95°F with full physical mobility.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- ECE coursework
- Extended experience in a childcare setting
- History of classroom leadership roles
- Deep-rooted passion for early childhood education
- Must meet state-specific guidelines for the role
- At least 18 years of age
- State and federal requirements including immunizations
- Employment physicals
- Required health and safety training
- Proven judgment to identify and address potential risks in a childcare setting
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods without discomfort
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 40 pounds safely
- Ability to reach, stretch, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to use a stool or ladder to access high places as needed
- Ability to supervise by sight and sound
- Ability to work outdoors during portions of the day in temperatures ranging from 20°F (with wind chill) to 95°F
- Ability to maintain mental and physical alertness and a consistent energy level to meet essential job functions
