Job Summary
Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment for toddlers ages 1–2 while implementing The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum® through hands-on learning. Develop weekly lesson plans, lead and mentor Assistant Teachers, and ensure all licensing, health, and safety regulations are met. Perform daily health checks, diapering, toileting, and feeding while maintaining proper teacher-to-child ratios. Observe and document developmental progress, maintain accurate reports, and communicate with families through the school's app. Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members while modeling positive behavior. Full-time Monday–Friday 8:00–5:00, approximately 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 year of professional childcare or teaching experience
- Must meet all state licensing requirements for Lead Teachers
- Lift and carry up to 40 pounds
- Frequently bend, kneel, squat, and sit on the floor
- Stand and move throughout the day
- Participate in indoor and outdoor activities in varying weather conditions
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Lead teaching experience
- Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
- Strong classroom management and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Passion for early childhood education
