Job Summary
Lead Teacher responsibilities include implementing the Wonder of Learning curriculum with age-appropriate activities, leading daily lessons, maintaining a safe, nurturing classroom, communicating with families, ensuring health and safety in compliance with licensing, pursuing ongoing professional development, observing and documenting children's progress, and collaborating with Assistant and Resource Teachers to support a positive team environment. The role requires effective relationship-building with children and families, and adherence to state regulations; a high school diploma is required with CDA or ECE degree preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- 1-2 years of experience working with young children in licensed childcare or preschool
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must pass required state background checks
- CDA preferred
- Associate's or Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred
