Job Summary
Lead a high-quality preschool classroom, guiding a collaborative Pre-K team and overseeing curriculum activities tailored to supporting children's social, emotional, literacy, and cognitive development. Plan activities, align with Head Start Performance Standards and Licensing requirements, and communicate with families to address children’s and families’ needs. Work with management to maintain compliance, oversee ongoing training, and leverage opportunities for professional development. Must have a Bachelor's degree andState of Maine Teaching 0-81 Certification (or ability to obtain), with supervisory and substantial early childhood experience preferred. The role requires autonomy and teamwork, strong administrative and Microsoft Office skills, and physical stamina to support high-energy activity. Travel within the service area and background checks are required upon offer.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- State of Maine Teaching 0-81 Certification OR ability to obtain
- Minimum of three years of supervisory experience preferred
- Minimum of five years of experience in early care and education preferred
- excellent communication skills

- CPR and First Aid certifications
