Job Summary
Plan and implement daily activities promoting the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of children in a safe, nurturing environment. Guide assistant teachers and aides while observing, recording, and documenting each child's progress to support individualized learning plans. Maintain accurate attendance and meal counts, ensure rigorous cleaning and safety checks, and communicate regularly with families through conferences and events. Obtain a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential within 12 months of hire and participate in required training. Collaborate with site staff to assist with recruitment and enrollment efforts.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must obtain a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential within 12 months of hire (if not already held)
Desired Qualifications
- CDA
- AA, or BA/BS in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or early education program
