Job Summary
The Lead Teacher is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing activities for infants, toddlers, and preschool children, ensuring their social, physical, spiritual, and mental development while fostering a safe learning environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Possess high school diploma or GED
- Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education from an accredited college or university required
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Desired Qualifications
- Two years’ experience working in early childhood field strongly preferred.
- Ability to obtain Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) or equivalent
- CPR/AED, First Aid, Oxygen certification required
Additional Requirements
- Candidates without a valid license may still be hired but will not be eligible to drive YMCA vehicles until requirements are met.
