Job Summary
Lead Teacher in Toddler classroom needed to foster a warm, nurturing environment and oversee daily curriculum implementation. Responsibilities include ensuring the safety and well-being of staff and children, administering potty-training as children transition to preschool, maintaining daily parent communication and conducting yearly parent-teacher conferences, collaborating as a strong team player, and delivering high-quality customer service to parents. The role requires experience with children and relevant credentials or coursework (CDA or Montessori credential, or an Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Child Development or related field, or 12 semester hours / 18 CEUs; Infant and toddler certification within 6 months). Training and development are provided, with CPR/First Aid training, ongoing education hours, tuition reimbursement potential, and benefits. This is a full-time position in Troy, MI, with wage based on education and experience. Required Qualifications
- Be at least 19 years of age
- Must have experience working with children
- Child care and/or Preschool experience preferred: 1 year
- One of the following: CDA or Montessori credential, Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Child Development or related field, or 12 semester hours / 18 CEUs is required*
- Infant and Toddler Certification (Infant classroom) – 3 semester hours or 4.5 CEUs in infant/toddler development and care practices within 6 months of hire. *These hours may satisfy a portion of required hours / CEUs in the above requirement
