Job Summary
Develop and implement developmentally appropriate daily activities while conducting health checks and maintaining a safe, hazard-free learning environment for infants and toddlers. Create classroom and outdoor spaces that promote experimentation, facilitating positive relationships and parental involvement to support social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Communicate effectively with parents to promote their participation in the child's early learning experience. Requires one-year teaching experience with infants and toddlers, CDA certification or related degree, and successful completion of background checks and physical testing.
Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge and understanding of early childhood development and education
- Ability to learn and follow curriculum and teach said curriculum to infants and toddlers
- Ability to adopt varying teaching styles to ensure children are learning and retaining information
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents and including them in their child's learning process
- One-year teaching experience working with infants and toddlers
- Effectively use classroom management skills and techniques to keep infants and toddlers engaged
- Pass a criminal and child abuse and neglect background check and drug screening
- Ability to provide a recent physical & TB test
- Child Development Associate (CDA) certified or Degree in Early Childhood Education or other related field and minimum 3 years experience in teaching preschool curriculum
