Job Summary
Lead Teacher responsible for carrying out daily lesson plans, leading classroom instruction with COA's Mind and Body Matters curriculum, creating a safe and positive learning environment, documenting child progress, and communicating professionally with parents and staff. Collaborates with a team of educators to support children ages 6 weeks to 12 years across Infant, Toddler, Preschool, Pre-K, Before & After Care, and Summer Camp programs; delivers age-appropriate expectations, demonstrates empathy toward children's and families' needs, and supports growth through professional development and strong relationships with families.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- VPK Certified
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Minimum 1 Year of experience in a licensed childcare setting
- Must meet all state licensing requirements
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and staff
- Flexible and adaptable in challenging situations
