Job Summary
Lead Preschool Teacher at FACES SF leads classroom teaching and supervision of the teaching team, ensures safety and health procedures, conducts weekly DRDP observations, liaises with families, and collaborates with Family Support and Inclusion teams to meet child and family needs. Responsibilities include developing lesson plans, maintaining licensing standards (CCL), supervising staff, coaching teachers, supporting children’s development across social-emotional, language and literacy, cognitive, and physical domains, conducting health checks, leading teacher conferences, and ensuring all administrative tasks and program data are completed while aligning practices to FACES values. Requires maintaining a California Child Development Teacher Permit or Higher and 2+ years of ECE classroom experience; state/federal program experience preferred; strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to meet fingerprint clearance and health/safety requirements; and lifting up to 50lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Maintain California Child Development Teacher Permit or Higher
- Two (2) + years classroom experience in ECE setting
- Demonstrated commitment to working with families from marginalized communities
- fingerprint clearance, negative TB test, First Aid, CPR (as part of state/federal standards)
- Lift up to 50lbs
- A deep commitment to aligning all program practices to FACES values
