Job Summary
Lead Teacher for Extended Care (Part Time, 12-6pm) in Mukwonago, WI. Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and actively participate in daily activities for a group of children; supervise the 4K Wrap Care program on-site; build positive relationships with staff, families, and children; conduct parent conferences and address concerns with courteous problem-solving; collaborate with local school district administration to align programming with district values and procedures; maintain participant records and ensure safety and cleanliness of learning spaces; follow YMCA emergency procedures and regulatory requirements; attend staff meetings and trainings; uphold YMCA core values; must obtain CPR, First Aid, AED, Abusive Head Trauma, and Wisconsin Child Care Registry certifications; must meet education/licensing requirements including completion of high school or equivalent and relevant early childhood credentials or degrees.
Required Qualifications
- Must have completed high school or equivalent.
- Must meet all Child Care Licensing requirement including one of the following: Two DCF-approved courses in early childhood education (credit or non-credit); a Wisconsin Preschool or Infant-Toddler Credential; 48 credits from an institution of higher education with at least 3 credits in early childhood education; an Associate’s degree or higher in early childhood education; a Child Development Association credential; or otherwise qualified as a Teacher through The Wisconsin Child Care Registry.
