Job Summary
Develop individualized learning plans addressing the social, emotional, developmental, and intellectual needs of children aged 3-5 while conducting developmental screenings and regular assessments to inform lesson planning. Implement classroom curriculum reflecting mandated elements, parental influences, and cultural diversity, and complete weekly child observations and monthly reports for documentation. Mentor teachers, aides, interns, and volunteers on child development techniques, lead integration of supplemental learning initiatives for families, and assist with annual performance reviews. Maintain knowledge of Head Start standards, ISBE requirements, and NAEYC guidelines. Full-time, salaried role with salary range $57k-$59k; offers commensurate with experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- minimum of 24 hours of Early Childhood Education classes
- Illinois Professional Educators License (PEL)
- Illinois Gateways to Opportunity Early Childhood Education Level 5 Credential
- A minimum of two years working with children and/or families
