Job Summary
Design and implement an emergent curriculum founded on Developmentally Appropriate Practice and NAEYC Accreditation standards. Plan and facilitate developmentally appropriate learning experiences that recognize age and diversity-specific needs while maintaining a safe, organized, and well-supplied environment. Establish infection control procedures, supervise children, and ensure equipment safety. Communicate verbally and written with children, parents, and management teams. Complete documentation including children's original work, photographs, and anecdotal records. Maintain a first aid kit and hold current infant/child CPR and first aid certification. Comply with licensing requirements, NAEYC standards, and BSA/AML regulations. This role is located at Abbott Headquarters and offers a pay range of $21.79 to $30.28 per hour. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least two years experience teaching in an early childhood program
- Working knowledge of licensing and NAEYC Accreditation standards
- Adult, Infant and Child CPR / First Aid certification
- Regular attendance
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without restriction
- Ability to comply with Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering laws and regulations (BSA/AML)
- Ability to comply with office of foreign assets control laws and regulations (OFAC)
- Criminal background check clearance
Desired Qualifications
- CDA in age specific area ex: Toddlers or Preschool
- Additional training and course work in early childhood education
- NAEYC basic membership
