Job Summary
Lead Teacher responsible for developing and implementing age-appropriate curriculum and fostering a nurturing classroom environment; manage behavior, assess student progress, and communicate with parents to support preschool students across Athens, Watkinsville, and Bogart locations. Requires a Bachelor’s/Associate’s degree or CDA in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, 1–2 years of licensed childcare teaching experience, CPR/First Aid certification, and adherence to state licensing and background check requirements. Location is in-person with a Monday–Friday schedule and pay ranging from $17.00 to $21.00 per hour based on education and experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Associate’s, TCD, TCC, or CDA in Early Childhood Education or Child Development
- Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience in a licensed childcare setting
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Must meet all state licensing requirements, including background checks
- Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early education
- Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and staff effectively
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and engage physically with children throughout the day
