Job Summary

Lead Systems Integration Engineer bridging market needs, product strategy, and engineering execution across medical imaging systems. Own end-to-end system definition across hardware, software, firmware, and data domains; drive MBSE-based requirements, architectural solutions, and trade studies to balance performance, reliability, cost, and regulatory compliance. Collaborate with Platform Engineering, Product Management, Clinical, and Research Innovation teams to deliver scalable, differentiated imaging systems and to support go-to-market strategies. 7+ years in multi-disciplinary, regulated environments; strong communication and cross-functional leadership; MBSE, system integration, HIL, and Prototyping experience; regulatory familiarity (FDA 21 CFR Part 820, IEC 62304); relocation stipend available; 0-20% travel? (as noted in the posting). Office-based in Rochester, NY with equal opportunity employment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or a related STEM field
  • 7+ years in systems architecture, systems integration, or complex product development in medical imaging, medical devices, or other regulated industries
  • Strong foundation in MBSE and requirements management
  • Experience with hardware/software integration, system modeling, HIL and Sim-to-Real

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or a related STEM field
  • 7+ years in systems architecture, systems integration, or complex product development in medical imaging, medical devices, or other regulated industries
  • MBSE experience
  • Experience with hardware/software integration, system modeling, Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and Sim-to-Real test and prototyping
  • Regulatory knowledge (FDA 21 CFR Part 820, IEC 62304)
  • Excellent communication skills
