Job Summary
Lead power system projects as the technical lead for ABB’s Energy Industries team, coordinating multi-discipline engineering efforts, reviewing and approving safety/quality deliverables, performing advanced power system analysis and Grid Code Compliance studies, supporting site commissioning, and guiding project proposals and engineering changes while maintaining alignment with safety, cybersecurity, and contractual obligations. Requires mentoring project engineers and ensuring successful delivery through teams of 5–25 members; strong knowledge of power systems, synchronous machines, and control theory; experience with major power system simulation tools; and excellent stakeholder management.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a power system engineer with expertise in grid modelling and excitation systems
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Strong knowledge of power systems, synchronous machines, and control theory
- Proficiency with power system simulation tools (DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSS/E, or equivalent)
- Experience leading engineering teams on complex projects
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
