Job Summary
Lead Switchgear Production Tech directs work, mentors a team of technicians, ensures safety and compliance, and drives production goals. Responsibilities include assigning and scheduling work, maintaining equipment, generating required reports and forms, coordinating with internal/external customers and vendors, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires leadership, strong communication, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to work flexible hours including weekends/holidays/night shifts; travel up to 5% and out-of-town assignments may be required. Requires HS diploma or GED with at least 5 years related experience and knowledge of NETA, NEC, OSHA, and NFPA.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED
- minimum of 5 years related experience
- Knowledge of industry standards such as NETA, NEC, OSHA and NFPA
- Production and field leads understanding of heavy industrial, utilities, large commercial, renewable energy; ability to troubleshoot complex business issues
- Must be able to work safely and adhere to electrical safety procedures
- Field leads must be available for out-of-town work
- Strong communication skills (written and oral)
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks
- Valid driver’s license for positions that utilize a company vehicle
