Job Summary
Lead Swim Teacher at Rainbow Club Vincentia on Sundays during term. Coordinate and supervise swim teachers, welcome and assess members, monitor progress, and conduct safe, motivating classes following the Swim the Rainbow program. Ensure safety of members and teachers in and around the pool; work with local Rainbow Club Volunteer Committee. Requires knowledge of swim teaching and water safety, strong interpersonal/leadership skills, and ability to manage a team of teachers to deliver lessons for children, including those with disabilities. Weekend casual role with professional development and additional benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified swimming teacher
- Knowledge and understanding of swim teaching and water safety
- Ability to manage members of various ages and abilities in an aquatic learning environment
- Proven interpersonal and negotiation skills including the ability to liaise with members and parents
- Ability to lead a team of teachers and mentor new teachers
