Job Summary
Coordinate design phase survey planning, including control point layout, engineer of record coordination, and system validation. Support preconstruction and site setup activities, such as site visits, connectivity surveys, equipment calibration, and virtual design and construction coordination. Serve as a primary drone resource for flight operations, data processing, pilot training, and flight planning. Develop and maintain survey documentation, site-specific integrated work plans, and check-in records with senior and craft surveyors. Coordinate survey-related meetings, training sessions, and customer service leadership discussions. Keep up to date on new technologies and maintain vendor relationships. Accurately capture installed utilities through timely as-builts of pipe rim, invert, and utility structures. Read project plans specifically related to utility installation. Promote safety, quality, teamwork, and professional customer service consistent with Mortenson's values. Ability to travel up to 100%.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor's degree in related/applicable field or equivalent experience as a surveyor within the construction industry
- Minimum five years of previous survey experience
- Current driver's license
- Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status
Desired Qualifications
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license not required
