Job Summary
Lead and grow the local survey group as Principal, mentoring surveyors and technicians, overseeing quality, safety, and delivery of diverse survey projects (boundary, ALTA/NSPS, topographic, utility/route, subdivision/plats, construction layout/as-builts). Collaborate with civil/environmental/geotechnical leaders to support integrated project delivery, contribute to client relationships and business development, and help identify opportunities in West Virginia. Ideal candidate is a Licensed Professional Surveyor in WV (or able to obtain licensure soon) with ~10+ years of land surveying experience and demonstrated leadership/mentoring capability, able to balance technical oversight, project management, and people leadership within an employee-owned firm.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Professional Surveyor (PS) in West Virginia, or ability to obtain WV licensure in a reasonable timeframe
- Approximately 10+ years of land surveying experience, with some track record of team leadership or mentoring
- Solid hands-on background with survey project types (boundary, ALTA/NSPS, topographic, construction layout, etc.)
- Strong communication skills and a desire to grow a practice
- Comfortable balancing technical oversight, project management, and people leadership
