Job Summary
Direct trade contractors and subcontractors to ensure high-quality work meeting the approved project schedule while maintaining daily reports and documentation. Develop and communicate work plans for changes, obtain necessary permits, and establish credibility with owners, unions, and partners. Act as primary safety representative enforcing compliance, lead contractor meetings, and manage jobsite logistics and contingency plans. Train direct reports including Field Engineers and Superintendents on project needs and business acumen, while collaborating with business development to integrate sales strategies and performance metrics. Manage workload and foster an inclusive environment to motivate team members.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management
- 7-12 years of experience leading a component of work or whole project for a value of $30 million or larger on commercial/industrial construction project(s) in a superintendent role
- OSHA 30-hour certified
- STS-C Certification
- First Aid, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed Training
- Strong technical and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing needs
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to collaborate on a daily basis with the project team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of suite of construction software tools, including logistics and scheduling software
- Construction-document and drawing literate, with knowledge of all phases of construction
- Experience and proficiency in most divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling, and cost control
- Strong knowledge and appreciation of construction safety processes and ability to enforce the project safety plan
- Ability to create an environment where 'safety first' is the culture and all trades people work with an incident and injury free attitude
- Must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test
