Job Summary
Lead structural design for power generation projects, including foundations and structural systems for generators, turbines, transformers, pipe racks, and associated facilities. Design light to heavy foundations and structures for solar farms, battery storage facilities, substations, and related buildings; coordinate design with drafters and other engineers; travel to client sites and project locations to verify conditions and monitor construction progress (5-10%); interact with regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and clients; collaborate with engineering, infrastructure authorities, and business-development opportunities; maintain adherence to company policies and safety standards; utilize design software (e.g., MicroStation, AutoCAD, RISA, STADD) and apply codes and regulations to deliver economical, safe, and compliant solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 7+ years of post-education experience in engineering discipline
- PE license
- Proficient with structural engineering principles, practices, processes
- Knowledge of geotechnical engineering
- Experience with power generation, transmission, and distribution projects
- Experience with pre-engineered metal building systems
- Experience with seismic analysis and design
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate and direct subcontractors
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to travel 5%-10% for site interfaces
