Lead Structural Engineer

Job Summary
Lead Structural Engineer to develop and review structural design calculations and analysis models; develop and review project deliverables (plans, specs, estimates) for all design phases; create staged construction schemes; prepare written correspondence and reports; manage construction phase services including submittal reviews and RFIs; assist in developing project scopes and fees; oversee and maintain organized document control; train and mentor junior staff. Requires PE license, 5-12 years of related experience, working knowledge of AASHTO/AREMA/AISC/ACI, and experience with CTDOT, MassDOT, and RIDOT policies. Proficiency in structural analysis and CAD tools (Larsa, Staad, OpenBridge, AutoCAD) with strong writing and verbal skills. BS or MS (preferred); rail and alternative delivery experience and public speaking are also noted as preferred.
Required Qualifications
- PE license
- 5-12 years of related experience
- BS, MS (preferred)
- Working knowledge of codes and standards (AASHTO, AREMA, AISC, ACI)
- Experience with CTDOT, MassDOT, and RIDOT policies and manuals
- Relevant structural analysis and CAD software (Larsa, Staad, OpenBridge, AutoCAD)
- Strong writing and verbal skills
