Lead Structural Engineer - Buildings

Job Summary
Conduct hands-on technical design for building projects while overseeing multiple simultaneous endeavors including budgeting, scheduling, and client management. Collaborate with engineering and architectural teams to complete deliverables, coordinate cross-disciplinary design work, and attend project sites and client meetings. Meet client expectations for budget and schedule while delivering quality products, and increase proficiency in design, modeling, and analysis software such as Revit, ETABS, and RAM Structural System. Gain knowledge of local codes and industry standards specific to high-seismic regions. Assist with budget estimates and proposal write-ups.
Required Qualifications
- Professional Engineering (PE) license
- 8+ years of relevant structural engineering design experience (Concrete, Steel, Masonry, Wood)
- Knowledge of building codes, standards, and construction practices specific to high-seismic regions
- Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., ETABS, RISA, RAM Structural System, RAM Elements, RAM Concept, Enercalc, Excel)
Desired Qualifications
- B.S. Degree in Civil, Structural Engineering, M.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering is preferred
- Experience assembling calculation packages for submittal to agencies (DSA and HCAI a plus)
- Revit experience including modeling and producing construction drawings is preferred
- Experience with seismic evaluations and retrofits per ASCE 41 a plus
