Job Summary
The Lead Structural Engineer is responsible for delivering engineering services from conceptual design through construction completion. Key responsibilities include project planning, coordination, and execution, developing construction drawings for large and complex projects, and managing time to meet project schedules. Applicants should have a BS in Structural or Civil Engineering, with 3+ years of relevant experience. Proficiency in design principles, engineering standards, and drafting software is preferred. Required Qualifications
- BS in Structural or Civil Engineering
- 3+ years of experience with a Structural Engineering Firm or Seismic Bracing Firm
- Excellent understanding of engineering and design fundamentals
- Excellent familiarity with building codes and industry standards
- Thorough understanding of seismic bracing design, attachment design, supplemental support design
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work independently with limited oversight and as part of a collaborative team
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and multi-task
Desired Qualifications
- Professional Engineer license (must be able to obtain quickly)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit, or similar drafting software
- Knowledgeable with 3D modeling software to create design and installation packages
