Job Summary
Lead design engineering for structural teams on new nuclear facilities and upgrades, guiding engineers through design calculations, specifications, and drawing development for steel frames, connections, concrete members, and foundations. Prepare, review, and provide direction on structural analysis and design while interfacing with other disciplines and clients. Travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to plant sites for construction coordination and field verification. In-office work is required three days per week on a hybrid schedule. Lead teams in applying modern tools and automation to improve workflows and deliver cost-effective designs.
Required Qualifications
- BSCE with emphasis in Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- 10 or more years of experience working as a member of a project team in the design and analysis of nuclear facility structures
- Proficiency with structural analysis software such as STAAD, SAP2000, SAFE, STRUDL, or ANSYS
- Familiarity with design codes and standards such as IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, N690, ACI 318, and ACI 349
- Proficiency with MS Office applications
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to plant site locations for construction coordination and field verification of designs
- This position is based on a hybrid work schedule and will require in-office work 3 days per week

Desired Qualifications
- MSCE degree
- On site construction support experience
- PE or SE license
- Overseeing engineers who program or script (e.g., Python, MATLAB, advanced Excel) to automate engineering tasks, with review of automated outputs
- We also value additional learning, such as a minor, certificate, or other experience in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or related fields that enables effective oversight of automation and agentic AI-enabled engineering workflows
