Job Summary
Oversee Sterile Processing department operations during night shifts, managing surgical case management for operating rooms, ambulatory clinics, and ancillary departments. Supervise staff in the absence of the shift supervisor while ensuring timely delivery of clean and sterile instrumentation. Direct decontamination, assembly, and sterilization processes to maintain a safe, functional work environment. Maintain adequate staffing levels and provide feedback for staff performance evaluations. Communicate with department management on assigned issues and facilitate staff involvement in problem resolution.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 years Sterile Processing experience
- CSPT-Certified Sterile Processing Tech - CBSPD - Certification Board for Sterile Processing & Distribution
- HSPA- Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association
- CRCST-Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Tradesmen International
- Demonstrates knowledge and practices of the Denver Health values on a daily basis, by treating patients, family members and colleagues with respect
- Demonstrate safety knowledge to reduce risk
- Ability to carry out professional standards, statutes, regulations, hospital and departmental policies and standards of care
- Ability and understanding to clean assemble & sterilize instrumentation to be used to administer patient care
- Ability to research Intentions for usage standard for all instruments used in the Operating Room, and throughout the hospital
