Job Summary
Lead Sterile Processing Technician role involves assisting in departmental operations when the supervisor is unavailable, informing management about items needed and the inventory required for surgical operations, overseeing daily departmental needs, and ensuring quality in sterile processing through proper decontamination, assembly, packaging, and sterilization. This position requires a high school diploma or GED, relevant certification upon hire, and two years of healthcare sterile processing experience. Proficiency in Outlook is also required, with leadership or educational experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school Diploma or GED
- Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) upon hire
- Two (2) years’ experience in healthcare sterile processing (or surgical/procedural area)
- Proficiency in Outlook
Desired Qualifications
- Two (2) years’ experience as a lead or experience in staff education
