Job Summary
Design, build, and operate backend systems supporting a high-traffic web and data platform as a Staff-level technical authority. Act as a technical reviewer and mentor in design and code reviews, driving technical direction on ambiguous, cross-cutting problems while partnering with adjacent teams to align on shared standards. Ramp up on systems and technical domain first, then take on direct management of a senior engineer, running regular 1:1s, owning performance conversations, and participating in hiring as the team scales. Own the backend health, performance, and reliability of core APIs and systems generating scheduled reports and near-real-time campaign metrics, including ongoing modernization and enforcing quality standards. This role is based in the London office and represents a deliberate growth track toward people management within a global team focused on large-scale distributed systems and AI agent infrastructure.

Desired Qualifications
- Experience with C#/.NET and SQL
- Experience designing or building GraphQL and/or REST APIs
- Experience with reporting or scheduled-reporting systems
- Experience building AI or agentic systems
