Job Summary
Lead, mentor, and train mobile drive staff while ensuring all personnel follow procedures and represent the Blood Center professionally. Plan, prioritize, and set goals to establish staff assignments and communicate shift expectations. Review daily QC for accuracy and completion, and manage all activities, supplies, and equipment required for successful collection events. Ensure staff provide excellent customer service and handle difficult situations tactfully. This role reports directly to the Donor Collections Manager. The position requires one year of phlebotomy experience and two years as a healthcare team lead, with a variable schedule including early mornings, late nights, and on-call coverage for weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of a high school diploma or GED
- 1 years' experience as a Phlebotomist
- 2 years' experience as a Team Lead in a healthcare setting
- Ability to handle difficult situations and persons tactfully and professionally
- Excellent ability to understand and use software relevant to the position
- Ability to solve problems and make decisions, seeking guidance as necessary
- From 7am - 3pm and 12pm - 8pm
- A schedule is provided two weeks in advance
- The first month of training will take place onsite at our blood center at 1465 Valley Center Parkway Bethlehem, PA
Desired Qualifications
- Medical Assistant Certification or Phlebotomy Certification
