Job Summary
Lead Speech-Language Pathologist (extracurricular assignment) for Putnam County Schools. Acts as liaison between speech-language pathologists and the Office of Exceptional Education; coordinates caseloads with the Director of Exceptional Education; monitors caseloads; assists with IEP questions and amendments; schedules monthly coordination meetings and submits written summaries; reviews SLP IEPs before submission; coordinates with IEP Diagnostician to track Initial IEPs, Annual Review IEPs, and re-evaluation timelines; coordinates with the Medicaid Secretary for billing; uses standard forms to log therapy sessions and student progress; maintains county-wide guidelines for delivery of speech-language services; participates in professional development; attends monthly Lead SLP meetings with WVDE; maintains confidentiality. Supplemental Pay: $2,400 for the 2026-2027 school year.
Required Qualifications
- West Virginia Professional or Temporary Teaching Certificate endorsed for speech/language pathology or WV Professional or Temporary Service Certificate endorsed for speech-language pathology
