Job Summary
Lead Specimen Processor provides technical, supervisory, and training support for specimen processing in the laboratory. Responsibilities include coordinating workflow, assisting with scheduling and staffing, troubleshooting instrumentation and specimen-related issues, ensuring adherence to departmental policies and universal precautions, training and mentoring new staff, maintaining LIS and reference-lab communications, preparing bench schedules, ensuring timely processing and transport of specimens, and supporting quality and safety initiatives across the shift. Will supervise and coach staff, participate in performance evaluations, and act as a resource for the technical team while maintaining customer service standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Education Equivalent of four (4) years of high school education preferred.
- At least 2 years experience
