Lead Specialist - Project Quality

Job Summary
Lead quality planning for projects by creating and maintaining Quality Plans, Control Plans, and Verification Matrices. Coordinate cross-functional project quality gates, design reviews, and product sign-offs while defining inspection, testing, and validation activities to ensure compliance. Perform risk assessments such as PFMEA, drive root cause analysis for quality issues, and manage supplier quality activities including audits and corrective actions. Monitor project quality metrics, provide regular reporting to leadership, and ensure alignment between project documentation and quality requirements. This role supports continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve manufacturability within Autoliv's advanced safety systems development team.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan and other product development quality tools
- Experience in project quality management within automotive or complex manufacturing environments
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis techniques
- Proficiency with MS Office tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a deadline-driven environment
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing or a related discipline
- English (required)
Desired Qualifications
- relevant professional certifications (e.g., CQE, Six Sigma)
- experience with quality management systems and PLM/ERP tools
- Typically 12+ years of experience in quality roles within product development or project environments
- demonstrable experience in automotive or safety-critical products
