Job Summary
Lead Specialist Cloud FinOps role to join Pearson's Cloud FinOps team and drive cloud cost transparency across a multi-cloud estate. Responsibilities include producing multi-cloud reports for Management and Senior Leaders, collaborating with global cross-functional teams, setting goals/KPIs, data retrieval and modeling, mapping data processes with Governance to establish a single data source, forecasting cloud hosting costs, providing cost optimization recommendations, creating month-end and quarter-end reports, applying Agile planning, leveraging tools to enable data-driven decisions, and collecting requirements for targeted automation projects; required skills include Python, PowerBI, cloud platform experience (Azure/AWS/GCP), cloud billing/cost management tools, FinOps strategies, Agentic AI, Advanced Excel, strong analytical and collaboration abilities, with growth opportunities in AWS/Azure/GCP and FinOps certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate or master's degree in computer science, management information systems, data analytics or similar
- +7 years of experience in IT (Business Analytics, Project Management or Technology Finance)
- Experience with Python
- Experience with PowerBI
- Cloud platform experience (Azure, AWS or GCP)
- Cloud billing and cost management tools
- Advanced Excel
- Understanding of applications development environment, database, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints
- Cross-functional and global team collaboration
