Job Summary
Perform actuarial calculations for GMP rectification, equalization, and conversion while delivering consistent client experiences through detailed checking and communication channels. Lead analysts and on-shore teams by establishing trust, taking ownership of projects, and executing plans autonomously with minimal supervision. Guide colleagues on legislative changes, support process template improvements, and facilitate in-house training on UK Employee Benefits. Maintain high-quality delivery within agreed timelines while actively participating in team meetings to share knowledge and progress with professional examinations.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation in any stream
- Member of the Actuarial profession (enrolled to complete actuarial studies at least)
- Successfully cleared 2 to 4 actuarial papers
- Undertaken the responsibility of coaching / mentoring team members
- 2+ years of relevant experience in the areas on GMP rectification/ equalisation of UK pension schemes
- Demonstrated track record of providing high quality work, good technical know-how and ability to work on bespoke projects with a team
- Knowledge of EB pensions domain
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with ability to translate data into meaningful insights
- Knowledge and understanding of benefit calculations
- Ability to question the objective of an exercise and prod away diligently/incrementally whenever ideas occur
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Adaptive to organisational culture and business environment
- Good Team Player
- Must be available for local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week
- Anchor day per week on which full team will be together in person
Desired Qualifications
- Masters in Statistics / Mathematics / Actuarial science
- Cleared CM1 preferably
- Prior experience in team training / management
- Intermediate to advanced skills in MS-Excel
- Knowledge of other forms of employee benefits
