Lead Solutions Architect - DERMS

Job Summary

Conduct pre-sales engagements by identifying and qualifying new leads, nurturing client relationships, and delivering technical expertise through product demonstrations and GridOS DERMS solution overviews. Consult with customers to document technical, regulatory, and policy challenges, then articulate requirements and emerging trends to Product Management for roadmap analysis. Collaborate with Account Managers to deliver proposals, manage RFPs, and contribute to marketing campaigns by monitoring competitive products and identifying use cases. Maintain a library of customer-ready presentations and facilitate internal knowledge transfer by communicating technical insights, product feedback, and quality defects to US, Canada, and international teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in engineering or a related field with a focus on Power Systems
  • Minimum 5+ years of strong utility industry knowledge
  • Combination of technical sales and technical writing experience in the energy market
  • Remote role based in the US
  • Up to 25% travel required based on business needs
  • Highly familiar with emerging energy industry trends, regulations and implications on utility customers in the area of DER management, microgrids, distribution planning, SCADA and asset management
  • Knowledge of Distributed Energy Resources (DERs), interconnection and interoperability standards such as IEEE 1547
  • Knowledge of industry communication protocols including IEEE 2030.5 (SEP2), OpenADR, and related utility-to-DER integration technologies
  • Familiarity with DER aggregation, virtual power plants (VPPs), demand response programs, inverter-based resources, and DER integration use cases
  • Ability to attract new clients and expand existing relationships internally and externally by articulating the strategic and technical value of GridOS DERMS platform
  • Ability to get things done on-time and within project deadlines
  • Ability to work as a self-motivated collaborator that can also work as a successful independent researcher
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to provide high-level summaries of the solution to the C-suite
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of a drug screen (as applicable)

Desired Qualifications
