Job Summary
Contribute to the architectural design and implementation of cloud-native application services on our Kubernetes-based platform while driving the development of responsive web front-ends and robust backend APIs. Lead a cross-functional Scrum team through deep-dive code reviews, fostering engineering excellence and establishing quality goals with rigorous standards. Apply Test-Driven Development and maintain automated test suites to ensure code stability, while collaborating with platform engineers to optimize deployments via CI/CD pipelines. Design and optimize data models across SQL and NoSQL databases, analyze application performance to resolve bottlenecks, and work with product managers and designers to define, design, and ship new features. Requires 15+ years of experience, expertise in C#, Python, React, AWS, and Kubernetes, with a full-time onsite presence at Philips, a global health technology company.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- Around 15+ years overall experience
- Expert-level knowledge with modern backend languages (C#, Python) and REST/GraphQL/gRPC patterns
- Expert-level knowledge with modern web frameworks (React)
- You believe quality is a discipline, not a phase—and you practice TDD, automated testing, and clean coding as part of your daily workflow
- Experience with AWS (EKS, IAM, RDS, Elasticache, EC2) of atleast 5+years
- Experience with Kubernetes and the CNCF ecosystem
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/OpenTofu, Crossplane)
- Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions
- Experience working in multinational and cross-functional organizations
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with AWS and Kubernetes is a plus (expert-level not required)
- Experience working in a regulated industry such as medical device is a plus but not mandatory
- Quick and eager learner who can rapidly acquire new skills
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to motivate and inspire
- Experience working in a regulated industry such as medical device
