Job Summary
Conduct targeted engagements with development teams to establish safe, rapid release cadences and resolve vulnerability challenges. Wrap applications in comprehensive local test suites, including smoke tests for deployment, while sourcing and masking test data in lower environments. Manage dependency lifecycles by upgrading runtimes, libraries, and base images using Renovate, and introduce best practices for source control, branch management, and code reviews. Automate deployment processes with Liquibase and Ansible, implement standard observability patterns, and overhaul exception handling and logging. Design resilient cross-datacenter topologies and ensure secure coding practices with proper secrets management and authentication.
Required Qualifications
- Several years of experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) using multiple test frameworks
- Really excellent understanding of the different approaches to automation testing and an ability to choose the best approach and drive outcomes with AI support
- Proficiency in JVM languages and/or TypeScript
- Highest quality coding skills
- An excellent understanding of safe practices for critical systems, including deployment architecture and observability
- At home with multiple continuous integration and deployment systems
- Excellent understanding of secure coding practices
- Competent with Docker and Openshift
- Actively embracing AI coding
- Competent with build automation tools such as Gradle, Maven, and npm
- Competent with (RedHat ) Linux
Desired Qualifications
- Spring framework skills are advantageous
- Ansible skills are advantageous
