Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer role within Wells Fargo Technology (Consumer Technology, Credit Decisioning). Responsibilities include leading complex, enterprise-scale engineering initiatives; establishing standards and best practices; designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting projects; reviewing large-scale solutions; collaborating with technical experts and external groups; leading projects or mentoring teams. Requires 5+ years of software engineering experience with Java/Spring, MongoDB, and a breadth of full-stack tooling (React, Python, Angular), microservices, cloud platforms, DevOps/SRE practices, and experience with AI-enabled tools and OpenShift. BA/BS/BE degree or higher in IT/CS/Engineering.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience
- Java/Spring development
- MongoDB development and performance tuning
- Experience with Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate
- REST/API design and microservices
- RDBMS experience (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)
- React, Angular, Python
- Kafka, Redis, PySpark
- Agile, CI/CD, DevOps, SRE principles
- Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- GenAI/tools experience (LangChain, LangGraph, LangSmith)
- OpenShift or similar platforms
- Observability/Monitoring/Incident response
- Strong communication and collaboration
Desired Qualifications

- MongoDB development including data modeling, indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning

- experience with S3/Dremio/Vault/EPLX

- Kafka (consumer/producer patterns, event-driven architecture)
- Redis including caching strategies and data modeling

- OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) or similar platforms
